What is Loan amount?

In short

The sum a lender will agree to borrow you, from a small bridging balance to a large mortgage-style figure.

The loan amount is the total the lender is willing to advance, and it caps the rest of the deal: the longer you borrow, or the higher the rate, the more interest you add. Some lenders set only a ceiling, others set a floor as well, so the amount you can actually take is narrower than it looks.

Compare the ceilings first. 1822direkt lends €7,500 to €100,000, ABB Bank reaches up to AZN 70,000 and Abe Student Loans offers $1,000 to $300,000, the largest of the group. 5in5 lends up to €5,000, and ABA Bank works with $100 on its Salary Loan.
